Carnarvon National Park
Carnarvon National Park, in central Queensland, boasts lush fauna, Aboriginal rock paintings and dramatic gorge scenery. The most stunning is the Carnarvon Gorge, which has weathered sandstone cliffs, moss gardens and deep pools, as well as rare palms and ferns.
The park is 550 km northwest of Brisbane and 1130 km north of Canberra.
