Göteborg (Gothenborg) is Sweden's second largest city. It has a nice harbor and a beautiful boulevard, as well as one the world's nicest amusement parks, Liseberg. The park is dominated by the 150 m high Spaceport Liseberg.
There are numerous interesting museums in Göteborg. The Ostindiska huset (East Indian House) has good archaeological and historical collections. It is right in the center of town. Paintings by European masters such as Rubens, Van Gogh and Rembrandt can be seen at the Konstmuseet (Art Museum). In the Sjöfartshistoriska museet you can see interesting displays of the area's maritime history.
There are numerous hotels and restaurants in Göteborg. The city has good air, bus and train connections with the rest of Sweden, as well as boat connections with Denmark. Göteborg is 395 km southwest of Stockholm.
