Leribe (Hlotse)
Leribe is a large town 75 km northeast of Maseru. It is still sometimes referred to as Hlotse, which was the town's old name. It was an administrative center under British rule. You can still see some of the grand colonial buildings lining the leafy streets. The British kept their records in the Major Bell's Tower on the main street. The tower was constructed in 1879. Nearby is a lively market.
A few kilometers southwest of town, near Tsikoane, dinosaur footprints cen be seen.
There are several places in town that provide food and a place to sleep.
