Moomomi Beach

Moomomi Beach

Moomomi Beach is one of the few undisturbed coastal sand dune areas left in Hawaii. The area is ecologically unique. There are at least five endangered grass and shrub plant species that exist nowhere else in the world. Moomomi Beach is also one of the few populated places where green sea turtles can find a habitat that is suitable for breeding.

Moomomi beach is at Kawaaloa Bay, about 20 minutes walking west of Moomomi Bay. Most people confuse it with the small sandy beach at Moomomi Bay and as a result it is completely deserted. You will find three miles of lonely, wild shoreline encompassing the huge crescent-shaped Kawaaloa Bay. There is a dirt road to Moomomi Beach, so if you plan to go diving there, you can bring your equipment.
