Mount Abu
Mount Abu is a nice hill station that sits on a 1200 m high plateau in southern Rajastan. It is particularly favorite with Indian honeymooners. Mount Abu is also the location of the Brahma Kumaris Spiritual University. Nakki Lake is in the center of town and according a legend it was scooped out by the fingernails (nakk) of a god. Boats can be rented and the scenic area around the lake is very nice for walking.
Several kilometers northeast of Mount Abu are the Dilawara temples. They are some of India's finest examples of Jainist architecture.
