Mount Cook National Park

Mount Cook National Park is on New Zealand's South Island. One of the world's most interesting treks is the four-day Copland Pass through the park. This adventure can only be undertaken by experienced, well-prepared teams, leaded by professional guides. Success depends largely on weather conditions.

Mount Cook National Park includes rainforests, glaciers, snowfields and areas with thermal pools. The Copland Pass lies at an altitude of 2150 m amidst numerous peaks that are more than 3000 m high. People who want to cross the pass need to be experienced in the use of ice axes, crampons and other mountaineering techniques.
