Parc Nacional Forêt de Pines (Forêt de Pines National Park)

The Parc Nacional Forêt de Pines includes the largest remaining swath of pine forest in Haiti. The road to the park provides excellent views over the forested mountains, but at many places one can also see the effects of deforestation and erosion that are widespread in Haiti.

Accommodation is available in the form of cabins at the official entrance to the park, but you can also set up your tent there if you wish. The Parc Nacional Forêt de Pines is some 40 km southeast of Port-au-Prince.

Because of widespread anarchy it is not recommended to travel to Parc Nacional Forêt de Pines (Forêt de Pines National Park), or any other destination in Haiti at this moment.
