The Serra da Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park lies in the higher regions of Brazil's Central West. There are several high waterfalls, pools and oasis-like stands of wine palms in the park and as a result it has become very popular with ecotourists. Animals that roam the park include banded anteaters, capybaras, giant armadillos, maned wolves, rheas, tapirs, toucans and vultures.
There is a campsite in the park, as well as some basic accommodation. The Serra da Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park is about 170 km north of Brasilia.
