Parque Nacional Defensores del Chaco (Defensores del Chaco National Park)
Defensores del Chaco National Park is an alluvial plain in the region of Gran Chaco, in the north of Paraguay, not far from the border with Bolivia. The park is densely forested and home to some of the country's most endangered wildlife, such as jaguars, ocelots and pumas. The main feature in the park is the 500 m (1640 feet) high Cerro León.
The park is some 600 km north of Asunción.
