Parque Nacional Torres del Paine (Torres del Paine National Park)
Torres del Paine National Park covers 180,000 ha (444,600 acres) of a rough and wild area of waterfalls, glaciers and forests in the south of Chile. The spectacular Torres del Paine consist of granite pillars that soar almost vertically for over 2000 m (6560 feet).
Most people who visit the park stay in Puerto Natales or Punto Arenas further south. Torres del Paine National Park is 1950 km south of Santiago. The park is enlisted as a UNESCO world biosphere reserve.
