Sigatoka
Sigatoka is a small farming settlement in the south of Fiji's Viti Levu Island. Sigatoka is the service town for the Coral Coast resorts. There is a large mosque, as well as a market where all sorts of foodstuffs are sold. On a hill behind the town is a strange-looking fantasy-style mansion.
Sigatoka is a good base for exploring the nearby Sigatoka sand dunes and the Sigatoka Valley, as well as the rest of Viti Levu's southern coast.
There are some hotels and restaurants in town. Sigatoka lies on the banks of Fiji's second-largest river, 100 km west of Suva.
