Sulfur Springs
Sulfur Springs is an area scattered with pools of boiling mud and steaming vents that release large quantities of sulfuric gases. As a result the area is blanketed with yellow mineral deposits and the air filled with a smell, which is similar to that of rotten eggs, caused by hydrogen sulfide. You can overlook Sulfur Springs from viewing points, as it is too dangerous to walk between the vents, because the ground can be unstable. The volcanic activity is situated along the side of a hill. Sulfur Springs is 20 km south of Castries.
