Sunbury Plantation House

The 17th-century Sunbury Plantation House is the only of its kind that is entirely open to the public. The building has thick stone walls that were built out of ballast blocks, which were left behind by English sailing ships that came to Barbados to pick up shipments of Barbadian sugar.

Inside you'll see colonial furniture and other interesting antiques. Much of the furniture is manufactured from Barbadian mahogany.

The Sunbury Plantation House is 20 km east of Bridgetown and has bus connections with Oistins.
