Trelleborg
Trelleborg is the best-preserved of the four remaining Viking ring fortresses in Denmark. On the site of the fortress is a reconstructed Viking house, which gives an excellent idea of how these warriors used to live. There is also a museum that displays pottery and other domestic artifacts that where excavated from the site. There are some burial tombs nearby.
Accommodation is available in Slagelse, 7 km (4.3 miles) to the west. Trelleborg is 85 km southwest of Købnhavn (Copenhagen).
