Wilsons Promontory



Wilsons Promontory offers dramatic coastal scenery with marvelous beaches and an abundance of wildlife. It is perfect for bush-walking and as a result it has become one of Australia's most popular national parks. Some of the most interesting walks are the ones to Mount Oberon, Squeaky Beach and Sealers Cove.

Wilsons Promontory is often referred to as The 'Prom'. It protrudes from southern Gippsland into the Bass Strait. The only access road leads from the town of Foster to the camping ground at Tidal River. Wilsons Promontory is 180 km east of Melbourne and 400 km southwest of Canberra.
