The ǀAi-ǀAis/Richtersveld Transfrontier Park straddles the border between Namibia and South Africa. It was established in 2003, when the Namibian ǀAi-ǀAis Hot Springs Game Park and the South African Richtersveld National Park were combined.
The ǀAi-ǀAis/Richtersveld Transfrontier Park encompasses Namibia's Fish River Canyon
and the ǀAi-ǀAis hot springs, as well as South Africa's Richtersveld
region.
and the ǀAi-ǀAis hot springs, as well as South Africa's Richtersveld
region. The Orange River runs along the border and splits the park into two parts. On each side of the river is an immigration office to facilitate tourists from moving from one part of the park into the other.
The park is in Namaqualand, about 600 km south of Windhoek and some 1,100 km southwest of Pretoria.
