Most of the islands offer fantastic scuba diving and snorkeling possibilities and many beaches are used by sea turtles to lay their eggs. many of the islands feature coral reefs, mangroves and seagrass meadows.

Bocas del Toro on Isla Colón is the archipelago's main town.

Accommodation is available on some of the islands. You can get to the archipelago by air from Panama City, David and Changuinola, or by ferry from Almirante and Chiriquí Grande.
