Atakpamé
Atakpamé is in a mountainous area 160 km north of Lomé. Because of its altitude it has a refreshing climate. It used to be a favorite hill station for the former German colonial administrators. Togo's famous stilt dancers originate from the area.
There are many hotels and restaurants in Atakpamé. The gare routière and the railway station are east of the town center.
