Bonn was the capital and seat of government of Western Germany, during the 40 years the country was cut in half by the iron curtain. Since the government moved back to Berlin, Bonn has become a somewhat quite provincial city. There is little of interest to travelers. Bonn is 480 km southwest of Berlin. There are numerous hotels and restaurants in town.
