Boumalne du Dadès is on the main road between Ouarzazate and Er-Rachidia. There is little to see or do in town, but it's a good place to spend the night if you want to visit the Dadès Gorges.

There are several hotels and restaurants in town, but getting there can be a bit of hassle as public transportation in the area is erratic and infrequent.
