Buccoo is a small town on the western end of Tobago. It has a small brown-sand beach and excellent scuba diving opportunities on its offshore reef. Glass bottom boats offer good views of the reef between Buccoo and Pigeon Point.
The reef is only 1 to 2 meters below the ocean surface, so it is an excellent way to see it if you don't fancy diving. You can always jump into the water and explore the reef snorkeling.
The Buccoo reef has been protected as the Buccoo Reef Marine Park since 1973.
Nearby Nylon Pool is a nice place to swim. It has a sandy bottom and clear turquoise waters.
Buccoo is in the southwest of Tobago, 85 km northeast of Port of Spain.
