Cala Ratjada is a picturesque fishing village in the east of Mallorca. The main sight in the town is the 13th-century Castillo de Capdepera. Another interesting site is the Jardines de Casa March, a wondeful park that surrounds the Casa March. The giant 12th-century Torre de Canyamel, the beautiful Cala Mesquida and the town's important private collection of modern art are also interesting.
At Punta de Capdepera on Mallorca's easternmost point is a lighthouse.
There are several nice beaches around Cala Ratjada. Son Minoris beach is in the center of Cala Rajada. It is surrounded by hotels and gets really busy during the summer holidays. Cala Agullais sits at the eastern end of town and is the largest of the beaches. Cala Gat is the smallest beach in Cala Rajada.
Accommodation and restaurants are widely available in Cala Ratjada. The town is 615 km east of Madrid.
