French Cul-de-Sac

French Cul-de-Sac is a small, seaside community on the northeastern tip of the island of Saint-Martin. It used to be a fishing village that was named Cul-de-Sac de la Barrière.
In the bay of French Cul-de-Sac is a mangrove forest. Not far from town the ramains of a pre-Columbian settlement can be seen that was still inhabited at the turn of the 19th century.
Boats to the nearby Îlet Pinel are available in town. French Cul-de-Sac is 6 km northeast of Marigot.
