Haeju

Haeju is one of North Korea's prime ports. There is little of interest in town, but boats to several offshore islets are available and there are some nice beaches in the vicinity, especially when the tide is low.

Points of interest

There is very limited accommodation in Haeju and you'll most likely end up in the Heaju Hotel. The city is 115 km south of P'yongyang and can only be visited on organized tours that include a guide.
