Isla de Lobos (Lobos Island)

Lobos Island is advertised as the 'lonely paradise'. It is true. The island is only a few kilometers from the most modern tourist-complexes, but it is uninhabited. The are a handful of shelters for fishermen only. The island has been incorporated in the nature reserve of Parque Natural del Islote de Lobos since 1982.
The island is excellent for hiking and snorkeling and tours are organized. The Punta Martiño Lighthouse is at the northeastern end of Lobos island.
Lobos Island is off Fuerteventura's northern tip. It can be accessed by ferry from Corralejo, but staying overnight is not allowed.
