Kärdla

Kärdla is the main town on Estonia's Hiiumaa. The town lies on the island's northeastern coast and boasts many trees and beautiful gardens. Kärdla is a good place to stay if you want to visit the Tahkuna Peninsula, a few kilometers northwest of town. At the northern tip of the peninsula is a lighthouse that was built in 1874. From its top you'll have excellent views over the area. Kärdlan Church is a nice whitewashed church in the center of town. Another scenic building is the wooden Fire Station.
There are several hotels and restaurants in Kärdla. The town is 125 km southwest of Tallinn.
