Kang is a small village in Iran's Razavi Khorasan Province. It is situated on a hillside and the houses are all stacked upon one another. Most dwellings are constructed with earth walls. The town's history dates back about 3000 years and according to legend it was first settled by bandits who used it as a hide-away.
Kang is about 30 km from Mashhad. The best way to go there is by taxi and the drive will take about 1 hour.
Because of the war with Israel and the United States it is not recommended to travel to Kang (كنگ), or any other destination in Iran at this moment.
