Láo Shān (崂山)

Láo Shān (Mount Lao) is the world's most famous Taoist mountain. It is located in China's Shandong Province close to the East China Sea on the southeastern coastline of the Shandong Peninsula.

The mountain is 1,132.7 m (3,716 ft) high and it is included in the Qīngdǎo Láoshān National Park.

There are several temples on Mount Lao.

Points of interest

Láo Shān is 30 km (19 mi) northeast from Qīngdǎo. It can be reached by cable car.
