Margoon Waterfall
The Margoon waterfall, or Margun waterfall is located in Iran's Fars province, not far from the city of Sepidan. Its name can be translated as 'snake like'.
The waterfall is included in the Abshare Margoon protected area. The waterfall has a height of about 70 m and it is 100 m wide, making it the largest waterfall in Iran.
The city of Yasuj, 30 km to the northwest, is a good place to stay if you want to visit the Margoon waterfall. The waterfall is 570 km south of Tehran.
