Mount Ntringui National Park was established in 2010 and covers 79.14 km⊃2 in the center of Anjouan Island.
The park includes the island's highest peak of Mount Ntringui, which is 1.595 m high. 1.474 m high Mount Trindrini is southeast of Mount Ntringui. Most rivers have their source on these mountains. Lake Dzialandzé is a crater-lake that sits at an elevation of 900 m on the southeastern flank of Mount Ntringui.
Anjouan's largest remaining forest is Moya Forest. It is located in the southern part of the park. Originally, the entire island was covered in forest, but much of it has been cleared for timber harvesting, agriculture and grazing land.
