Parque Nacional Huascarán (Huascarán National Park)

Huascarán National Park comprises most of the Cordillera Blanca mountain range, which is part of the central Andes. As a result, the national park is popular with mountaineers.

The park is home to a wide variety of plant and animal species, including spectacled bears, condors, vicunas, and tarucas.

Huascarán National Park was inscribed into the UNESCO list of world heritage sites in 1985. It is 270 km north of Lima.
