The Serra da Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park is located in the higher regions of Brazil's Central West. The park was established in 1961 and added to the UNESCO list of world heritage sites in 2001.

There are many high waterfalls, pools and oasis-like stands of wine palms in the park and as a result it has become very popular with ecotourists. Animals that roam the park include banded anteaters, capybaras, giant armadillos, maned wolves, rheas, tapirs, toucans and vultures.

The park's rock formations are mong the oldest in the world.

There is a campsite in the park, as well as some basic accommodation. The Serra da Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park is about 170 km north of Brasilia.
