Pita is 45 km northwest of Dalaba in the Fouta Djallon. Pita's main attraction is the Chûtes de Kinkon, a series of waterfalls that lie in a beautiful hilly area dotted with small villages. The Chûtes de Kambadaga are also in the area.

Pita has a lively market and there are many bakeries in town.
