Malaysia's Sabah region offers a wide variety of wildlife and includes some of the country's most scenic places. One of the best places in Sabah to see wildlife is the Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park, which covers a huge swath of ocean and includes several interesting islands. At the adventure-resort of Batu Punggul you can also see wild animals, but it requires long jungle walks to see them.
In Kota Belud is an interesting market that is held every Sunday and Mount Kinabelu offers some of the regions best views.
Sabah is quite expensive, but if you shop around you might find some good bargains. Accommodation is available in most towns of the region.
Sabah is located on the northern part of Borneo.
