Trenton (Ohio)

Trenton was originally founded as Bloomfield in 1815. It was named after New Jersey governor Joseph Bloomfield. When in 1831 it was discovered that there already was a hamlet named Bloomfield in Ohio, so Bloomfield was renamed Trenton, after Trenton in New Jersey.

The city is part of the Cincinnati metropolitan area.
