On the Vatican's northern border is the entrance to the fantastic Vatican Museums, a complex that includes several stunning museums and galleries. The Vatican Museums are home to Syrian, ancient Greek, ancient Roman and Egyptian relics, such as the Apollo Belvedere and Laocoon. There is also a section where you can see ancient and Renaissance sculptures, Renaissance paintings, tapestries, old maps and apartments painted by Raphael, as well as the so-called Borgia Apartments. If you are amazed by the beauty and awesomeness of the collection, try to bear in mind that the Vatican's truly valuable art treasures are not even shown to the public.
