Whangārei Falls
Whangārei Falls is a 26 m (85 ft) high waterfall on the Hātea River, on the outskirts of Whangārei. There are numerous walkways through the bush around the falls and alongside the river. If you want to walk the entire loop, it will take you about 1 hour.
The falls were originally known as Otuihau. The falls have been a popular place for picnics, since at least 1890s. At the top of the waterfall, you'll find picnic tables.
The falls are 620 km north from Wellington.
