Cabrits National Park

Cabrits National Park encompasses a peninsula in the northwest of Dominica. It includes the ruins of Fort Shirley, which housed a 600 soldiers large British garrison in the 18th century. parts of the fort have been reconstructed, but most of it is in ruins and covered by jungle. The views from the ruins over the surounding area are excellent. Dominica's largest swamp is also situated in the park.

Cabrits National Park also includes some coral reefs not far from the peninsula, which are excellent for scuba diving and snorkeling. The park is 35 km north of Roseau.
