Cook Islands Cultural Village
The Cook Islands Cultural Village is not far from the town of Arorangi on Rarotonga. It is an excellent place if you want to learn more about the Cook Islands' traditions and culture.
Guides take you on a tour that includes visits to a number of traditional huts, as well as demonstrations on Cook Islands history, Maori medicine, ancient fishing techniques, coconut husking and woodcarving. After the tour you'll be invited for a feast of traditional foods, music and dances.
The Cook Islands Cultural Village is 5 km southwest of Avarua.
