It is said that Czech beer is the best beer in the world and that the Germans learned the skills of brewing from the Czechs. In the Czech Republic, beer is served almost everywhere when you order food and the Czechs drink three times more beer than soft drinks. Usually the first beers are swallowed during breakfast at 8 AM or so.
Most of the Czech beers are lagers. They are naturally brewed and the Czechs drink them not too cold and with a creamy head. The most famous Czech beer is Plzenskyý Prazdroj (pilsner Urquell), which is made in Plzen since 1842, although the largest exporter is Budvar in Ceske Budejovice, where the original Budweiser (NOT the American Budweiser!) is made. The Czech Budweiser is mild, slightly bitter. The Regent beer from Trebon is also a popular brew.
