Diekirch
There are very few places of interest in central Luxembourg, but the National Military Museum in Diekirch is well worth a visit. In the museum, all important events that happened in Luxembourg during the WWII Battle of the Bulge (1944-1945), are exhibited in detail. The museum is open between Easter and October.
Not far from the museum is the 10th-century Castle of Bourscheid. It sits on a plateau overlooking the Sûre River, just northwest of town.
There are several hotels and restaurants in Diekirch. The town has rail and road connections with Luxembourg City, 30 km to the south.
