Génova (Genoa)

Génova is best known for its impressive lighthouse, known as the "Lanterna". The lighthouse is one of the most ancient still in service today. Genova has an interesting old town with numerous monuments such as Palazzo Doria Spinola, Cattedrale San Lorenzo, Abbazia di Sant'Andrea a Borzone, Palazzo Pantaleo Spinola, Castello di Campoligure, Villa Negrotto Cambiaso ad Arenzano, Chiesa di San Siro di Struppa, Basilica di San Salvatore dei Fieschi, Santuario di N.S. di Montallegro and Palazzo Ducale of Génova. There are also several museums in town.

Génova has numerous hotels and restaurants. The city is in the north of Italy, some 400 km northwest of Rome.
