Mele Bay

Mele Bay is one of the world's most interesting diving sites. If you go diving in the bay, you will see beautiful coral heads and shipwrecks, including the Semle Feders and MV Konanda. One of the most popular sites is Black Sand Reef, which includes coral caves, tunnels and outcrops, but new sites are being discovered all the time.

One exceptionally colorful reef is known as Gotham City. It is home to large numbers of batfish. Another spectacular place to dive is The Cathedral, where you can explore numerous tunnels and underwater holes. At Tuki Tuki are huge chasms and the water usually has an excellent visibility there.

Above water level there is little of interest around Mele Bay. The bay is 4 km (2.5 miles) northwest of Port Vila and you can get there by taxi or on foot.
