Northumberland National Park
The Northumberland National Park lies in Northumberland country, which has more castles and former battlefields than any other county in Britain. It possesses some of the country's wildest terrain, where the English and the Scots have fought countless battles. Hadrian's Wall is the best-known feature in the region and the eerie Northumberland National Park is well worth a visit. The grassy part of the park is excellent for hiking. It is mostly made up of the Cheviot Hills.
In Northumberland are several interesting villages such as Brampton, Corbridge and England's northernmost town, Berwick-upon-Tweed.
