The Tuli Block is a strip of land, about 350 km long and 10 to 20 km wide, along the northern bank of the Limpopo River. It is an excellent area to visit if you want to see wildlife without having to pay heavy fees for the parks. In the area some private parks are found that provide the same chance of seeing wildlife for a much better price.
The Stevensford Game Reserve lies 14 km east of Sherwood Ranch on the Zanzibar Road. Accommodation is available and transportation can be arranged.
The world's largest private game reserve is the Mashatu Game Reserve between the Sashe and Limpopo Rivers. Camping inside the park is only allowed on the designated places, but the cheapest way to visit it is setting up your tent just outside the park and visit the park during the day. You can either walk through the park on your own or get a guided tour.
If you don't have your own vehicle there are two options to get to the Tuli Block, hitching (which might take time since traffic in the area is thin) or by irregular bus from Selebi-Phikwe to Bobonong or Molalatau.
