B Angie B original name was Angela Boyd. She was born in Morton, Mississippi. Angie started her career in the 1980's as a dancer for Mc Hammer. Eventually, Hammer signed her to his Bust It label in 1991. B Angie B brought soul to an urban generation, long before Mary J. Blige or Erykah Badu did. She has only recorded one album, which was produced by Mc Hammer and former ConFunkShun member Felton Pilate. Three songles were pulled from that album of which "I don't want to lose your love" was the most succesful. Despite her minor success, B Angie B was dropped by Capitol after just the one album. In early 1992, she recorded the Kid 'N Play title track Class act on another label.
