chi-lites

In 1960, the Hi-Lites were formed in Chicago. The band's members were Eugene Record, Robert Lester, Marshall Thompson and Creadel Jones, who left the band in 1973. Later the band's name was changed to Chi-Lites. The Chi-Lites recorded many albums, but the title track of "Bottoms up", which was released in 1983, was the first top 10 hit. Further releases from that album failed to sustain that success. In 1984, the Chi-Lites had another big hit with "Stop what you're doin'". The Chi-Lites continued touring during the 1990's.
