Joyce Sims was born in Rochester, New York, in 1959. Joyce studied music at college where she learned a number of musical instruments.Unable to play professionally at first, she took a job in a hamburger bar and wrote songs in her spare time.One of her songs was overheard by an agent who introduced her to Ron Resnick at Sleeping Bag Records, the label she signed to in 1986. She works with producer Mantronik (of Mantronix ), her debut single 'All And All' was followed by 'Lifetime Love' The title track of her first album 'Come Into My Life' became a club anthem and was frequently played on the better soul stations.The follow-up was 'All About Love' (1989), including, the excellent, 'Don't Let This Feeling Die' and 'Looking For A Love'.Since that time Joyce has adopted a low profile.
