Lorenzo Smith was born 1973 in Havana, Florida, where a strong gospel influence from his family roots marked the beginning of his musical career. Lorenzo is a former high school athlete that was also very much influenced by the likes of Luther Vandross, Will Downing and Freddie Jackson. He released his first album, entitled Let me show you, already at the age of 17. His second self-titled album from 1992 contained the Real love single which was his highest charting single. After a dispute with the Alpha label that released his first two albums, Lorenzo found a new home for his third album with Luke Campbell records in 1995 which is his last musical outing known to date.
