Margi Coleman was born in Los Angeles. She released her debut album in 1995 on the Priority label. On all of the album's 15 tracks, Margi takes care of the vocals and also plays piano, percussion and synthesizer. She wrote almost all the tracks herself. Since Priority records was a heavy rap label, the album's promotion didn't work out too well, which is probably one of the reasons why Margi's career ended right after that one album.
